Introduction to Cavendish Laboratory

Cavendish Laboratory is the physics department of Cambridge University. It was founded in 1871 by James Clark Maxwell, the father of electromagnetics, and the laboratory was built in 1874. In honor of the great physicist, chemist, and Cambridge University alumni Henry Cavendish, it was named Cavendish Laboratory.
