Introduction of high pressure gas storage tank
The can body is welded into a cylindrical shape or a spherical shape using a high-quality high-strength steel plate. Spherical tanks have a small amount of steel and are evenly stressed. However, the processing, installation and welding of spherical tanks are more difficult than cylindrical tanks. Therefore, they are generally only used in applications where the gas storage pressure is high. Both ends of the cylindrical can have an elliptical or hemispherical head. When the elliptical head is used, in order to make the head strength equal to the can body, the ellipse length to the short axis ratio may be 2:1.
