Infrared absorption spectroscopy

Dec 11, 2021

Infrared absorption spectroscopy is referred to as infrared spectroscopy. When a certain frequency of infrared light irradiates a molecule, if the vibration frequency of a certain group in the molecule is consistent with the frequency of external infrared radiation, the energy of the light is transferred to the molecule through the change of the molecular dipole moment, and this group will absorb a certain frequency. The infrared light produces a vibration transition.
