Homologue refers to organic compounds with similar structures and different molecular composition by several "CH2" atomic groups; generally appear in organic chemistry, and must be of the same class of substances (containing the same and equal number of functional groups, except for hydroxyl groups, phenols and alcohols cannot be homologous compounds such as phenol and benzyl alcohol).
