Gear motor overview
The gear type hydraulic motor is referred to as a gear motor, and has the characteristics of simple structure, small volume, light weight, small inertia, impact resistance, convenient maintenance, and low requirements for oil filtration accuracy. However, the flow pulsation is large, the volumetric efficiency is low, the torque is small, and the low speed performance is not good.
Gear motors can be divided into two types: one is a gear pump based on a gear pump; the other is a specially designed gear motor. The former is similar in structure to the gear pump, while the latter takes into account some special requirements of the motor: for example, the motor often starts with a load, the impact and vibration of the external load are more serious, and it is also necessary to rotate in both directions.
The structure of the gear motor and the gear pump are basically the same, but since the gear motor needs to be loaded and started, and it is required to be able to rotate in the forward and reverse directions, the gear motor is different in actual structure from the gear pump.
Due to the poor sealing performance and low volumetric efficiency of the gear motor, the input oil pressure cannot be too high, the torque is generally not large, and its speed and torque are pulsating with the meshing condition of the gear. Therefore, gear hydraulic motors are generally used in the case of high speed and low torque.
