Description of fine grained steel
Fine-grained steel, also known as intrinsically fine-grained steel, is a steel in which metal materials have refined their grains through some heat treatment methods to make their intrinsic grain size reach 5 to 8, thereby improving their mechanical properties. The intrinsic grain size refers to the tendency of austenite grains of steel to grow under certain conditions. The austenite grains are measured after holding at 930±10°C for 3 to 8 hours.
