Definition of static friction
If two objects are in contact with each other and squeeze each other, but a relatively static object only has a relative sliding tendency under the action of external force, but no relative sliding occurs, then the force between their contact surfaces will hinder relative sliding. (The friction force generated when two objects in contact with each other are about to occur but have not yet undergone relative movement) is called static friction.
