Willemstad is a city on the island of Curaçao in the former Netherlands Antilles in the Caribbean. In addition to being the main city on Curaçao, Willemstad is also the capital of Curaçao, with a population of approximately 125,000. The buildings in Willemstad’s inner city and port historic area are as colorful as pastel, and retain the style of the Dutch colonial period from the 17th to 18th centuries, so they were registered as a World Heritage Site in 1997. Historically, Willemstad has the Gulf of Santa Ana, Panda, Outrobanda, Salo and Pieterma, as well as 765 protected cultural relics, such as the landlord’s manor palace Banlvedra and Vinachu Ella Hotel, "Active Tin House" and "Vac de Sola" etc.
