Colloid is a relatively homogeneous mixture that contains two different states of substances in a colloid, a dispersed phase and a continuous phase. A part of the dispersoid is composed of tiny particles or droplets, and the dispersion system with the particle diameter of the dispersoid between 1 and 100 nm is a colloid.
