Classification of car body
The car body is divided into a passenger car body, a truck body and a locomotive body according to the purpose.

The truck body is used to load a variety of goods. Diesel locomotives and electric locomotives are equipped with various electromechanical equipment for traction and control, and a cab. There are facilities in the car that protect passengers, cargo and equipment. The body of the truck conforms to the characteristics of the cargo, ensuring that the cargo carried away from loss, leakage, damage and exposure to the sun, rain, wind, etc. during transportation, and adapt to the needs of loading and unloading.
The shape of the car body is related to the running resistance of the train. Therefore, the locomotives of the high-speed train mostly adopt the streamlined car body. The color distribution of the interior and exterior of the locomotive vehicle of the passenger train has a beautifying effect.
Steam locomotives have a simple driver's shed and do not have a general body.
