Bias voltage introduction
The bias voltage refers to the voltage that should be set between the base-emitter and the collector-base when the transistor is in the amplifying state in the transistor amplifier circuit. Because the transistor is to be in an amplified state, the PN junction between its base and emitter should be forward biased, and the PN junction between the collector and base should be reverse biased.
