Basic introduction of MEMS pressure sensor
The MEMS pressure sensor is a thin film element that deforms when subjected to pressure. The strain gauge (piezoresistive sensing) can be used to measure this deformation, or it can be measured by capacitive sensing the change in the distance between the two surfaces. These two methods are very popular, and the tire pressure monitoring system uses a more robust piezoresistive method.
