A measure of sea-keeping

The main indicators for measuring wave resistance are:

(1) The amplitude of roll, pitch and heave motion;

(2) Rolling period and vertical acceleration;

(3) Probability of bow slamming, waves on deck and propeller water;

(4) Quick drop or effective power increment;

(5) Seasickness rate;

(6) South wave load and dynamic load caused by slamming.
